Objectives: At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Be able to discuss the leading theories of the causes of the obesity epidemic
2. Understand the principles of the current treatment approaches for obesity
3. Be knowledgeable of bariatric equipment used in the treatment of the morbidly obese
4. Understand the most recent data on the role of exercise in the morbidly obese patient with lymphedema
5. Be able to apply effective treatment techniques to the morbidly obese with lymphedema
