[P4] Physician Intensive: Lymphedema and Related Disorders for Physicians

Open to physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and medical students from all disciplines; a copy of current medical license or proof of enrollment (for students) is required.

Objectives: At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system
  2. Recognize differential diagnosis and co-morbidities
  3. Understand the impact of cancer on the lymphatics
  4. Be familiar with Risk Reduction practices
  5. Explain the process of interpretation of lymphatic imaging
  6. Identify current approaches to lymphedema management
  7. Understand the need for incorporating a lymphedema program in an existing practice (all disciplines)
  8. Discuss training and certification in the U.S.
