Save the Date - Cancer Rehabilitation Conference

This conference is being hosted by the Rehabilitation Department of the NIH Clinical Center and is co-sponsored by the National Cancer Institute and the National Center for medical Rehabilitation Research. This activity has been submitted to the Oncology Nursing Society for approval to award contact hours. ONS is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's COA.

Who Should Attend:

Representatives from cancer advocacy organizations, professional societies with an interest in cancer and rehabilitation, health care providers, Standards and Accreditation bodies, health care policy leaders with an interest in cancer and rehabilitation, researchers and organizations that issue research funding in cancer, rehabilitation and survivorship, patients and other public stakeholders including payers, business entities and medical health care entities concerned with the future of cancer care.

The National Institutes of Health is excited to announce a rehabilitation symposium designed to disseminate the findings of a subject matter expert group comprised of clinical NIH staff and other nationally recognized experts regarding cancer rehabilitation practices in the United States. The conference will present current practice models in cancer rehabilitation, identify screening and triage models and clinical measurement tools and discuss clinical integration of rehabilitation services into the oncology continuum of care and survivorship.
