Affiliate Training Programs
Although no government-recognized national standards for treatment of lymphedema or accreditation of lymphedema training programs currently exists in the United States, the NLN has adopted standards set by the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) for LANA’s lymphedema therapist national certification exam and the National Lymphedema Education Association (NALEA) for program content and instructional design.
Lymphedema training programs that offer a minimum 135-hour course in the U.S. or abroad, with 1/3 theoretical and 2/3 practical (per LANA/NALEA guidelines), are invited to apply for consideration of Training Program Affiliate Membership status and inclusion in the Resource Guide.
In order to become an affiliate member, one must submit an application to the NLN, which includes documentation of professional licenses, training certifications, and LANA certifications if applicable. Please send your application with proof of payment which can be made by check or online. A NLN representative will contact you regarding your online application.
